DAY 1 Cooktown to Bathurst Heads, travel through Lakefield National Park and Kalpower Crossing
DAY 2 RELAX! FISH! EXPLORE the Bathurst Heads area
DAY 3 Bathurst Heads to Coen via Lakefield National Park and Musgrave Telegraph Station
DAY 4 Coen to Punsand Bay; cross the Archer River, visit Moreton Telegraph Station, travel the Southern Bypass and cross the mighty Jardine River by ferry.
(option: accommodation in safari tents at Punsand Bay)
DAY 5 Thursday Island Tour (included)
DAY 6 A day to rest & relax. Stroll the Cape coastline.
Optional: Private Fishing Charter (please advise if you would like this so we can book for you)
DAY 7 The TIP of CAPE YORK PENINSULA & exploring the surrounds before heading for a secluded camping spot
DAY 8 RELAX! FISH! EXPLORE the area
DAY 9 Travel through changing landscapes to Moreton Telegraph Station
DAY 10 Moreton Telegraph Station to Weipa
Mine & town tour take you into the heart of Weipa for a fascinating insight in to the bauxite mining or an optional half day fishing trip (depending on availability & weather)
DAY 11 Weipa to Laura over the Archer River & through historic Coen before heading on to Laura
DAY 12 Laura to Cooktown
Visit the fantastic Quinkan & Region Cultural Centre, Split Rock Aboriginal Art Site, and Lakeland Downs before arriving in Cooktown in the afternoon
Inclusions: National Park access fees, camping & ferry fees, breakfast, lunch & evening meals except where stipulated or at guests request, air conditioned Toyota Landcruiser GXL, all camping gear, resource & reference material on board, Thursday Island Tour
